A new Hummingbird thread...

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I figure, rather than trying to fid the old one from last year, I thought I'd start a new one...all be it very early. There are those on the west coast with other species that can contribute now too :)
I was going through some of our old videos from last year to get me out of the gray days duldrums and came across this cute one...we nicknamed this mature male "Scooter"...you'll see why...
Cracks me up everytime...LOL

Delightful footage Susan Louise.

I put out my hummingbird feeder today. The earliest they have been reported in my area for spring migration is very late February. Today was beautiful, in the mid 70's. A trip to the garden center for blooming hummer delights is on for this weekend. It won't be long for you too, SusanLouise.

Nice to know.
I think there is a migration map online.

Marlton, NJ

There are migration maps online and as soon as they activate both of them for 2011 we'll be starting a thread on the migration for all N. American hummers.
Looking forward to their return! :-)
