Hi Texas Friends!
I am a frequent visitor to the Texas Gardening Forum and feel as though I know all of you.
My husband is scheduled to be in Dallas tonight for a show and we are wondering just exactly what the road conditions are.
We will get on I-30 at Mt. Pleasant heading west.
Any info would be appreciated.

Driving Conditions?
I am in Arlington and the roads by my house where there is no shade are clear.
I am sure there are still icy patches but with careful slow driving it should be o.k.
I would allow at least twice the usual time just in case.

Most of the interstate and main traveled roads are clearing nicely. Just be careful of a bridge or off the main road those may still cause problems. Take blankets and water and fully charged cell phones.

We decided at the last minute to cancel. The roads here didn't clear until late afternoon. Didn't like the thought of having to drive back in the middle of the night and possibly encountering black ice.
And, of course there wasn't any place to stay... so we'll have to make it another time.
