I got this little Japanese maple at Lynn's place last fall (or was it summer). Anyway, I think it came from Pixie, but can't be sure. I am wondering if she (or anyone else) might know the cultivar and/or its anticipated grow pattern. It was just a bitty little squirt when I got it and has enjoyed its first winter as a house plant. I am slowly acclimating it to the great out of doors and pondering its final placement, although it may spend its first summer in my herb garden so it gets regular water and some pampering until it puts on some size. Not sure if you can tell by the pic but the leaves have little yellowish spots on them. Thanks.

Who am I?
Deb,
I'm think that may be the abutilon I brought. AKA Flowering Maple. It is a houseplant or annual outside. Has orange/peach flowers all summer. Very pretty.
I see that it (abutilon) was bloom of the day on Wed (?) in DG this week.
Aha, I was so admiring the bloom of the day photo, and here I have the very plant! OK, so I will give it a nice pot for outside during summers and bring it back in for winters. Is that what you do, SC, or do you just treat it as an annual and start fresh each year?
Yes, I put it out in May in morning sun. It roots by cuttings pretty easy if yours gets to big for your indoor space.
Julie has a large one that she has overwintered in her greenhouse and it is blooming nicely right now. It is good to know that it propogates fairly easily as she want to share one with me. If only my greenhouses were a LOT bigger!
