I returned home yesterday to find my flourishing potted palm sticky all over and two new fronds broken off at the base, apparently by their own weight. What's going on, and what can I do about it????

Thanks! I've been spraying with a weak vinegar and rubbing alcohol mix in water and it seems to be helping.
