Heavy heart today . I posted a picture of my son's catahoula hound somewhere and can't pull him up on this computer . He's gone across the rainbow bridge . The vet said he had pneumonia but I can't believe that .He started coughing a few days ago, and stopped eating my son took the day off to take him to the vet next day, Thursday . Monroe was a healthy dog , staying inside at night with access to a warm shop and his own leather couch and a big comforter to snuggle in .
Do dogs get pneumonia? It wasn't heart worms for sure , but was congested. He got a little better with the meds , and was in and out of the house today, his choice . Then went to the shop and laid down and gave it up
He's buried across the fence in a game preserve, no soil on my sons place and hopefully he won't ever be disturbed.
Does anyone have experience with pneumonia in a healthy dog?
