I just want to let any of you who knew Tiga, she visited on here every now and then, that she has passed away as of Tuesday, January 25th. She was one month shy of being 15 years old. She was the apple of my eye, ruler of my heart, my best friend, and she loved every one of you on here and said to me a couple weeks ago that she wishes she could come on but she just didn't feel up to it, but always said that when she felt better she was going to come on and say hi.

I have a question, does anyone know if steroids cause blood clots? She was on steroids for Irritable Bowel Syndrome for 3 1/2 years and we think she had a stroke. Actually, we think she was having strokes for awhile, but the week before Thanksgiving she became very lethargic for 3 long days and then when she came out of that she couldn't use her hind legs very good, she couldn't jump up on things, walk right, and we blamed it on arthritis. I made an appointment with the vet on the 2nd day of her lethargic state and got her in on the 4th day, but she recovered and her blood work came out as good as a 1 year old cats and we all blamed it on Arthritis as we did have our first cold snap that week.

The day she passed she was fine as I was getting ready and left for work. My DH Dave said she was fine when he got up then about noonish her balance was off and she was stumbling around a bit. About 30 minutes later she became lethargic and put herself to bed. He checked on her right after she went to bed, then an hour after that and she was sleeping. He checked on her an hour after that and she was gone. Could this have been "another" stroke, if the first one was a stroke?
