'There are only a few more days left to count urban parrots for the World Parrot Count. Please check out the website for the count and submit your parrot or parakeet counts online at http://tinyurl.com/45vhqef For Monk Parakeets that don't gather in big roosts, count birds on nests, or even nest compartments on known used nests. Please forward this message to any and all birders or interested parties. Looking for Monk Parakeet counts from RI, NJ, CT, NY, IL, TX, FL, or elsewhere.Also all other urban parrot roosts in CA, TX, FL. The Peach-faced Lovebirds in Phoenix have been counted, but if you didn't participate in that count and have your own count, by all means send it in. There are way more urban parrots out there than most birders appreciate. This is a great way to help keep track of these exotic birds. Thanks for sending in your counts and for spreading the word about the count.
