Good morning farmers. You must all be out standing in your fields! We have another sunny day, lots of clouds near the mountains and the weatherman says we may get some showers. Yesterday we got a shower, all of about 3 minutes and not even enough to get the surface of the ground wet. The temp was 40 about 6am. I thought it was colder because I woke up cold but the extra blanket had slid off the bed. It was only anchored down in one spot where the cat was sleeping on it. Today I'll do more flower bed clean up, I tackled the worst one first so the rest will seem easy, comparatively speaking. I got a report on the weekend ride, not good, we had 4 riders on 2 distances but didn't earn any points. We aren't sure how the rival team faired. Now there are just 3 rides till the season is over and we have to get our stuff together for sure. So far we have come out in the lead, one year just by the skin of our teeth! Last year was close too. This competition is like the tortise and the hare, my team has mostly slowish riders and that other team is most of the hotshoes. Therefore we have to go to a lot more rides and be smart (sneaky sometimes) to make up the difference. Hope all of you have a great day, count your blessings.
