Bi-color Sweet Corn preferences?

Hutto, TX(Zone 8b)

My family loves bi-color sweet corn. The past couple of years I have grown Sugar Dots with good results. I've tried extending the season with separate plantings, but have been generally stymied by mixed weather. I'd like to plant everything at once, but have staggered maturity dates.

So far I've spent a couple of hours online, between PlantFiles and Google, but haven't been able to identify a good mix. I'd like to stick to Su or Se, since we like the sweetness. I don't want to use Sh2 since I can't easily isolate my planting areas. I definitely still want to grow Sugar Dots, but would like to find a mid-season and maybe an early variety, too.

It looks like Sugar Baby (65 days) is a possible early cultivar, and Ambrosia (75 days) might be a possible early-mid, with Sugar Dots (85 days) to finish out the season. Does anyone have any other recommendations or favorite bi-colors?

Sugar Dots is my favorite. Serendipity ( a synergistic but does not require isolation) 82 days my second favorite. I grow some earlies but never found one that really delivered on taste. Quicky is the best that I have grown,. Ambrosia is good but I like a few better. Bicolors I have grown with letter grades.

Thanks Farmerdill. I'll look at those alternatives. Hopefully we won't be disappointed with other bi-colors since we've already become accustomed to Sugar Dots!

Would you say that Peaches and Cream has a shorter maturity than Sugar Dots? Hume list P & C as 82 days, Henry Fields lists it at 83 days. The dates I've found for Sugar Dots show 85-90 days. If the maturity is similar, I'll probably stick with Sugar Dots since I'm familiar with it.

I'll look for Quicky, and try it along with Sugar Baby. I've never grown any early season, so I'll need something for comparison. I really would like to get something 2 or 3 weeks earlier than Sugar Dots. I probably won't be able to tell that the early varieties aren't "as good" as the later since it will be so good just to have fresh corn!

Peaches and Cream is the first bi-color I ever grew ( back in the 70's) Grew until Sugar Dots came along. Grew Serendipity las t year and it is good. Can't say on one years trial that it is any better than Sugar Dots, but it was very good. Crookham has new early bicolors Fleet, Trinity, and a second early Mystique to join thier older varieties Quickie, Ambrosia and Butter and Sugar. http://www.crookham.com/products/index.php?cat=Sweet Corn Fresh Market&sub=SE %26 SU Series

Mesa maize has introduce a full line bicolors, but the two that I have tried Lancelot and Lucious were less than earth shaking. http://www.mesamaize.com/bicolors/bicolors.html

Syngenta has two versions of Peaches and Cream. The main season version is the one I have grown. http://www.rogersadvantage.com/products/corn.asp#bicolorSweet I have also grown Sweet G-90, similar to bi-queen.

Harris Moran has Sweet Chorus and Sweet Rhythm. http://www.harrismoran.com/products/corn.htm

Seminis has a selection of bi colors http://us.seminis.com/products/sweet_corn.asp

Thanks for the extra links! I guess I still have a little more research to do before ordering. Soil temperature here is still below 50, so I have a little time.

Has anyone tried Sun & Stars from burpee? I ordered some last week and am anxious to get some planted.
