"World's Greatest Brownies"

Lakeside Marblehead, OH

I paided $10 for this recipe over 25 yrs. ago...Follow directions to the T, & you will love them..

Melt 4- 1 ounce squares unsweetened chocolate ( I use Bakers) w/ 1/2 # of butter...
Beat 2 eggs w/ 1 cup sugar on high speed for for 3 minutes till very light ..
Add 2 more eggs & 1 more cup of sugar & beat another 3 minutes...Add chocolate butter mix, 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans (opt)..& 1 teaspoon pure vanilla... Pour into greased & floured 13x9 pan...Bake 30-35 mns. at 350 dregrees.. DO NOT OVERBAKE! The secret is to IMEDIATELY take them from the oven & place IMEDIATELY into the frig. Leave them in frig. overnite or at least 3 hours undisturbed....The hot to cold gives the brownies the best fudgy texture..I get so many compliments on these...I usually frost w/ a thin layer of chocolate frosting & sprinkle w/ finely chopped toasted pecans..These are very rich...Just don't overbake these...Enjoy!
