Mystic Ice
Pollen parent (Mystic Ice) to the seedpod in the last post.
Delicious!!
Thanks Kim :-)
Allan it's beautiful. What do you think that I can expect from SanguineaXArborea? The pod is still hanging on. Not too much longer I hope. Colleen
I guess you would want a pure Red Sang. shape bloom with the fragarance and blooming qualities of the Arborea and also the quick maturing seed pods of the Arborea (4 months Arborea, 9 months Sang!)
Good luck with them and I hope your dreams come true ;-)
Beautiful, Alan. I can't wait to see what comes out of that cross!
I'm always amazed at how well you get these plants to bloom when they are so young & short. How about you share some more tips on what you think are the bloom triggers to get them blooming young; things like in other plants possibly: cooler temps, change in temps, diurinal day/night temp difference, bright light, change in seasonal light, photoperiod/hrs per day, fertilizer less nitrogen, more/less phosphorus, etc. If you say "luck" then I am going to mail you some aphids, lol. ;)

Amazing! Did you call your puppy after this one??? :-)
Alan, I am looking for ward to seeing this years creation! You have the touch! And with a little Mystic Ice pollen there will be no stopping you.
Fantastic!!
Stunning!
Thank You for the nice comments.
I have got a cutting of this one on UK Ebay at the moment and it has a lot of interest :-)
Alan
Alan,
I hope it goes to an owner who lives in a place with cool summers or an air conditioned greenhouse. Gorgeous color!
Veronica
It has gone to a fellow English grower so (unfortunatly) it will have cool summers LOL
