Colored Dent Corn Information

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Does anyone know if the color on Bloody Butcher or the Calico corn goes deeper than the outside of the kernel? Is there a dent corn other than the blue one that doesn't have a white interior?

Durhamville, NY(Zone 5b)

From a few pictures on Google, the red doesn't appear to be inside.

The meal is not bizarre in color. I just checked it, and can describe it as looking very much like ground pecans (do you have pecans in your area?). It has a light brownish color, with specks of darker red/brown. Haven''t used any of it yet.

Thanks Doug. Yes, we have pecans. They grow wild.

Calalily- I really envy you! After living in the south (LA & FL) for 40years, we moved to WA 3 years ago, and I miss fresh pecans SOO much. I paid big bucks to have some shipped from OK so I could put some in the freezer. They simply aren't available fresh here. If anyone would be interested in shipping me some next fall, please let me know.
