CLOSED: Is this a Cooper's or Sharp Shinned Hawk?

Washington, IL

this hawk was hunting birds in the woods behind my house today.....It was quite small maybe 10-12" long...I believe it's a juvenile by its coloration and THINK it's a Sharpie by the blunt straight tail. Would like other opinions. Sorry not too great a photo. My point and shoot Canon barely could zoom far enough to capture it.... BTW, the back didn't look as charcoal colored through the binoculars...the shoulders were darker than the rest of the back.

Going by the size you have mentioned and with the squared off tail...agree, Sharp-shinned Hawk.

Ditto to Sharp-shinned Hawk.

Thanks you guys....without seeing the tail clearly, it's so hard to distinguish the diff. between the SSs and Coopers.....This bird is a regular this winter to my property.
