curious for those of you have winter sown seeds before which ones you found did well for you.
I have two skylights I saved from when we replaced them last fall and I'm going to make use of these in an area in the veggie garden (which only has broccoli and cabbage in it currently so have quite a bit of room to work with)
thoughts anyone?
Winter Sow ideas please
Start your tomato plants by seed indoors! Give yourself 6 weeks before our last frost date. We usually start our tomato seeds at the end of February/beginning of March. This link may help: http://www.tomatodirt.com/grow-tomatoes-from-seeds.html
Thanks Kathy - I'm doing winter sowing outside (perennial seeds)
I've got friends in Clover - do you know the Pruitts?
Just curious, red - what seeds are you currently winter sowing?
3 types of coneflower, panacarda, iron weed, joe pye, lantana, tritoma and perennial hibiscus thus far. I have about a dozen two liter containers I'm going to try my hand at too - the above is in last years veggie bed. Inside I've got Daturas (4 types) soon I'll start Zinnia's and Vinca... :)

Come on, don't keep your web address a secret.
I agree with ardesia. Your website is too fabulous not to flaunt. I'm so proud of you!
Thank you - This year has just started so well...Branden and I got engaged over Christmas, wedding this year, new biz in the works, my son graduates from Coastal in May ....
The site URL is www.artfulgardensbydee.com Not totally done, but like any gardening project the bones are there LOL

Thanks Entlie!
Welcome to our world, You will enjoy Dave's . I like you site and think you need to add a few pictures of the swans at the cyprus pond if it still exist, It was so beautiful in the late 70s which was the last time I was there. Also my favorite cross stitch designers are from Sumter, Gloria and Pat who do Precious Moments.
I used to date a guy from there LOL
Lavina
Hey Lavina! I met you at the SARU 3 years ago :)~ Tropicanna, Darius and a few others of us stayed at MaMa Gerties - that was a blast
Swan Lake is still here and I've got about 100 pic's I've taken there since moving to Sumter - I love your idea and will work on adding those (I've got about 10K pictures I've taken since '05 that I'm trying to go thru and catagorize for the new website...who knew I should have been a little more proficient at my cataloging of them lol)
You mean we are supposed to catalog those thousands of flower pictures??? LOL
Great site and good luck with your new business.
Thanks Ardesia!
Well are you comming down to the coast in March and meet with us?
I wonder where Tropicanna has been haven't seen her lately.
Lavina - she's still working on her own nursery of succulents and winter hardy tropicals...Roots Down Nursery...she came down here my home to SC last fall so she could be a vendor at the Florence flower show and everyone loved her succulents! she did really well at the show...she is planning on doing it again this spring in Florence and possibly Columbia...she's just busy busy busy propagating LOL :)~
