After further research, I'm thinking it is a Sharp-shinned Hawk.

Hi Hack, Do you have any other photos of the lower half of the body?

Cooper's - note the tail feathers are not all the same length, also large claws.

^_^ I was going to "guess" Cooper's Hawk even before enlarging the first photo because it looks like one that someone here identified for me a few months ago! Maybe I am getting better at this! ^_^

The difference between the two is that today's pic is an adult, the few months ago pic is an immature

Thanks Resin. Cooper's never crossed my mind. I don't see enough Hawks to tell them apart.

Agree with Resin...tail and claws seem to be easiest for an Id, when they present themselves.
