question: experience with mail-oder nurseries

would like to know if i can get other members experiences with specific mail-order nurseries. Thought maybe this kind of question might be rejected. If not- then i can ask away and see what info is out there

check watchdog or ask about a specific company - there are many very good sources out there

Go to "products and sources" tab
First selection "garden watchdog" that's where you'll get all the reviews for basically every nursery and mail order company there is.

Never heard of Farmer Seed & Nursery but they don't have great feedback in the Garden Watchdog.....they recieved all negative remarks in 2010

That is a horror story!

On Garden Watchdog, go to search, almost at the top, under 'communities', then do the drop down for 'specializing in' and find what product you are looking for, such as seeds. Then do the 'sort by', and put in 'rating', then hit the search button, and you will see a list of the top rated vendors for whatever product you are looking for.

thanks very much for direction to the ratings. Clearly Farmer's should be avoided. Those prices were just too good!
