more episcias

Brookfield, CT

In this group you can find 'Ruby Red Dress' and 'Longwood Gardens'. This photo is from September of last year, several pots of assorted plants bunched together for a project. For me, nothing ever looks as good during the winter as it does in this late summer photo. The episcias, in particular, benefit from the higher temperatures. I can keep them happy in a terrarium environment, I think it is the transitions from outside to in that sets them back. Maybe I should keep them indoors year 'round.

Very nice job. Mine look better in the summer months. I am sure it has to do with the humidity and I have threatened to put them in an empty aquarium that I have. Hmmm....maybe they want me to come through with that threat LOL!!! I have never been brave enough to grow them outdoors. Love those Episcia!!!
