I'm still planning to go and I am looking forward to meeting all of you. Hoping for warmer weather by then!

I don't have much to trade, but I have dward mondo grass (lots), some chaste tree seeds and some seeds for false dragon head, which is tall, light purple, blooms in late summer and early fall, and and reseeds itself once it gets happy. I had more luck with it in Kentucky's clay soil than in this NC sandy soil we have here, but it perks along ok.

Just let me know and I'll bring some.

OK, don't hate me, but.....there's just no way I can drive to New Bern drive to Greensboro from there for my Dad's soccer awards event, make it back to Kure Beach and be ready for work at 7AM on Sunday.
Hate that I'm missing it!!!!
Entlie, since my Dad lives in New Bern, I'll be coming up there sometime before summer. I'll let you know when.

Lavina and Entlie, I'm going to have to make a weather travel judgment call in the morning after I check several forecasts. The last two snows have arrived in Carteret County earlier than predicted and we had more accumulation than predicted. Can one or both of you DMail me a phone number so I can call you in the morning if I decide NOT to drive to New Bern? I have been looking forward to this outing and meeting you, so I hope that by morning the forecast has taken snow out of the picture. Thanks and hope to see you!

With today's weather forecast of snow for a wider area than last night's forecast, I've decided to stay home. Hope we can all get together as soon as this winter fades and we have more consistent warmer weather.

It snowed here for the THIRD time this winter. I ended up not going to Greensboro even.

We had a nice lunch with Lavina and hubby, and I brought a friend who has just joined DG. I thought I knew her user name, but I can't find her listed, so I'll have to clear that up. Lavina, it was great to meet you both, and thanks for the seeds! By the time we left, snow was falling, and crossing the bridge we were leaving tracks in the snow. Pulling into Fairfield Harbour it was snowing hard. What's with this forecast of "slight chance of snow and 36 degrees?" It's 28 degrees and very snowy. Anyway, I'm glad we went, but for those of you further afield, you did the right thing. Hope you got back to Kennels Beach ok, Lavina.

We've got a good 5+, maybe 6", so far and it's still snowing rather heavily here in my neighborhood. Hope everyone is safe and warm.

I had a great time but it took us almost an hour to get home. The 1st bridge as you passed the county line had a wreck on it. Then when I went to turn onto Neuse Road the car way in front of me slid trying to go into the ABC parking lot at Pinedale so I had to break and even tho I was on 4 wheel drive the car slid a little.Car behind me went into the ditch then back up and flew around us and almost got the car going into the ABC store. LOL Boy was I glad to pull into our drive way.
Really enjoyed meeting you both and maybe we can try again sometime when its better weather. Its melting fast here right now and I measured a little over 7 inches in our front yard. I am so looking forward to spring.

We had a surprising 8" here in our neighborhood and there is still a lot that hasn't melted yet. Still hope to meet all of you sometime before too long.

LavinaMae, it was so nice to meet you and your husband last Saturday. Entlie, thanks for inviting me and for driving. I am definitely interested in a March get-together. What's with this weather? It just hailed, followed by sun and wind.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it last weekend, but my Dad lives in New Bern, so I'll be heading up that way sometime this spring.
I will try to the March get together, but as that's when things gear up in the garden dept, I may not be able to.
We'll see!
And I'm SO happy it's warmer, even if it is only for a few days.
