Eatonton, GA(Zone 8b)

Just thought Id pop in and give you all the News! My Sweet little Frizzle "Spanky" has become an adult!! Yep! Hes crowing as of yesterday morning! Such a silly little crow but hes practicing!
I will keep him only as a pet and Show bird! The Northeast Georgia bantam club will be having a show January 15 , and I hope to attend. First I will get all the info and see if Spanky is show worthy. If he and his Friend Darla qualify I will be showing them this Summer!

Darla is a little young and her "Snowshoes" havent developed well as of yet but we will see! I still think she is a lovely little Cochin! She also needs a good bath in this photo.

Eufaula I love the pic's: I'm just finding it difficult to figure out which takes first place, You or the Frizzle. I think it's a three way tie. Great pictures...Hay

Elleisn You are so right! I just have to cuddle and hug them everyday! Spanky's frizzles are sooooo soft , when you stroke them they feel like velvet. He of course just loves the attention.
Donna I wake up now to Spanky's gargle-ey crowing at 5:00 am.
Thank you Hay...as always you are so sweet!
Here they are taking their morning stroll on my leaf and winter strewn porch. I wont let them be out here for too long though, the wind is really kickin and there is talk about a nother winter storm a brewin and snow!

Well...another day and another surprise! I was just getting used to Spanky's silly crow, when I heard him trying out another completely different one, more assertive and LOUD! I got up to check it out and realized that it was not only a different crow but( Oh my) another bird! It seems as if my all white Serama baby girls have turned out to be a pair!
Here they are on the banister and not too happy about the cold air!

The one on the left ( all scrunched down) is " Green Leg" the roo in the making! The little Pullet is " Yellow Foot". Oh well enough for picture taking, back into the house and into their warm cage !

Oh and I must introduce you all to my newest addition! I recieved him as a two week old baby just before Christmas. It had a sibling that didnt make it ,but I have two replacements from the same brood coming soon.
It is a Dark Brahma, looks more like a little owl or hawk to me! I cant tell if it is male or female but I do not think I have ever been around a more a vocal baby than this one! It sings chirps and warbles continiously. Even while sleeping it will softly warble every out going breath.

It looks so dangerously like a hawk that it would scare most people, but dont let the huge wings fool you! It is so gentle and loves to be held . It actually follows my little Chihuahua around and gets into his bed with him!
