really looked to big to be a Sharpie but don't know what else it could be
CLOSED: Sharpie??
Red-shouldered Hawk
TY Old Ned. That is good to know. They don't eat much birds. Size fits. The bar on left of it from top of feeder where it is sitting is 12 1/4" so that means just his upper body is 12" not counting the tail. Sharpie is only 11"
I,m sure the bird is wondering...where did everyone go?..lol Nice shot!
I'm just glad it didn't go after my bantam chickens I had free ranging 20' away and the little birds were afraid of it. They got right back up on the feeder as soon and it jumped down. I think it was after a rat I have hiding under fountain and goes to eat under the feeders all the time
Oh My I am in shock. I can't believe there is a bird that stumped you Donna. I am crushed I though you knew everything. LOL just teasing. Always good to see you posting. I think of you often. You are the one that got me started on this obsession with the birds. I'm getting a little better with my shots but could never stack up to you. Cindy
oh yes you can Cindy. You got to have the right camera and patience. I really miss my big beast. It really took great shots. I haven't even been birding in about 3 yrs now except for my own yard lol. Too painful to drive anywhere
