I picked this up at a yard sale a couple years ago. Does anyone know what it is?
What is this?
Looks like this one:

When mine outgrew the house, I was made to give it away...I miss it!
That sure looks like it. Thanks you so much.
You're welcome, enjoy it!
dracaena marginata
Very easy to root cuttings from this plant.
I agree, Dracaena Marginata. I had one years ago that got so tall when it touched the top of the screen room it started bending and growing out sideways. You can prune branches and stick them in soil, they root easily and the mother plant will sprout new branches usually just below the cut.
Wow, you guys are awesome. I'm going to try and root a start. I'm just getting into tropicals and have been reading the threads for months. I'm a little intimidated by the beauty and sheer volume of plants some of you have. DH got me a grow shelf and lights for the holiday (he know garden stuff is the way to my heart - lol). I have a plumeria and some brugmansia babies that needed a home. Also have a blue Potato bush that one of you nice people identified for me.
Any advice on what plants would be good for a beginner at indoor gardening?
Brug and spider babies...and a very sad fuchsia cutting that may or may not make it.

In Hawaii we call this "Money Tree" Most houses have them and when they grow taller than your house (most houses are ranch) it is supposed to bring you money or good luck.
