Todays - Painted Bunting, Pictures.

I sat out there freezing waiting for her. Then i looked up and there she was sitting right in front of me on the fence. She jumped onto a plant hanger, she was getting ready to go to the feeder... when a flock of house finches came crashing in like a freight train... and scared her off. There had to be 30 or 40 finches on the feeder, in the tree, on the ground... they were everywhere. I did get three pictures of her, and three of the gang of house finches. Well at least i got some different pictures of her. All my other pictures look the same. I'll try again this afternoon.

I feel sorry for her. Glad she is getting fed, but sure hope there are a few more Buntings around.

She's such a pretty little thing. I do hope she'll get her share of food.

She is such a lovely bird...I am glad she has a place to eat. Hope she stays safe and warm and finds some friends.

I think i have two bunting's, Maybe you guys can tell. The first three pictures i posted this morning that bird looks so much fatter. It seemed to be more afraid of me & the other birds. The bottom 5 pic's from this afternoon that bird is more streamlined, and it landed on the feeder didn't even look at me or care about the other birds. I don't know i guess i'll have to wait an see, if two come at the same time.
