Hi all
Just wondering if anyone can explain the best way to root prune a tropical hibiscus.

Thx

I have only root pruned my hibiscus once and they responded well. They were so overgrown I had to prune hard to get them back to a manageable size. I removed 1/3 of the roots and 1/3 of the stems, repotted in fresh medium, watered well and placed in an open shade area of the garden. I did around 10 plants this way and all forgave me and grew beautifully. The pruning also stimulated many more flowers than I had gotten on the old growth.

That is a great link, all sorts of good hibiscus info.
Tussee, great description of how you did it. I need to get my butt outside and do it myself. I know my hibiscus will thank me!
