I pray for Peace on Earth, human kindness and compassion to return to society. I pray that goodness and truth prevail over evil and corruption. I pray for just the right amount of rain to go with abundant sunshine for our gardens and a plentiful harvest at the end of the growing season. :)
Mostly I pray that 2011 will be a Happy and Healthy New Year for all DG'ers and their family and friends!
Happy New Year Everyone!!

Beautiful sentiments Celeste...
Happy New Year all!!!!
Wonderful thoughts for the new year Pixie. I hope all of you had a great holiday and I'm sending wishes your way for a happy and healthy 2011. Colin and I (and of course Auntie Jenn) spent Christmas on Martha's Vineyard for a little R&R after a long, difficult year. In the pic, Colin and I are on Menemsha Beach on Christmas Eve watching the sun set. Eleanor
Happy New Year!!!
That photo on the beach may have been taken on a chilly day, but look at those 2 big grins !!!
Great classic photo, spans generations - I'd frame it.
Thanks, and yes, we were very happy! Eleanor
Hi Eleanor!!! Colin looks wonderful, he's grown so much!!!
Thanks so much for voicing such beautiful sentiments, Pixie.....hopefully, we'll see more of those virtues in the world. Victor, Doug spent part of WWII in Edinburgh....I'm sure he was at the castle......thanks for taking me there......
Wow. How cool, Marilyn. I would love to visit one day.
Hope you have a great year, Andy. Yes, Victor, I would like to see Scotland, but only if I could drive there!
Ha ha! What about by ship?
Only if I was totally sedated the entire time.
Isn't that the best way to travel ?!?
Hee hee! Don't even have to actually leave home. ^_^
I love the destinations, but traveling is too scary.
Love to travel, would have loved to be a travel agent before everything went to expedia and travelocity, etc..... Wonder if they still pay people to go check out resorts and stuff?
Would love to try scuba diving(wanted to be an oceanographer when I was in Jr high) and would love to take up skiing(went once).
Hard to believe travel agencies are still around.
Probably not too many left, I remember when there used to be one in every mall
There are so many parts of our lives that are becoming outdated by the day....uhmmm, nano-second.
