Is anyone growing these plants in Central Texas?
I believe they can grow in east Texas on the acid soil but I am looking for this plant/bush growing on clay soil here in Central Texas.
Wax Myrtle and Northern Bayberry
It grows in north central Texas just fine, I don't have one but I see them in many places.
Thanks. I am looking for a good rootstock to graft Chinese Yumberry which are a Myrica/Morella as well.
Jim Kamas is giving a tallk Jan 15th at The Natural Gardener at 10 am. "Growing Nuts and Berries." It's free. Jim is the fruit specialist for the TX AgriLife Ext. He'd probably have some good info for you.
Thanks for the info.
