I have a converted-aquarium terrarium that is currently happy in a north window. It contains a couple of smaller calatheas and fittonia (and a sad cryptanthus). I'd like to move it to a part of the house that doesn't have much natural light. Will a regular aquarium-top fluorescent light work for these guys? I want to make sure they have plenty of light, but I have no idea what kind of light or wattage to use so I don't bake the li'l guys.
Terrarium lighting?
Yep, just a regular top & small watt bulb should do great. I use sun type bulbs for some that have flowering plants in them...it just gives them a different type/more useful light.
