I Think This Is A Hermit Thrush

but not positive...thanks for any help. This bird was hiding in the shade of a tree by our farm pond. I noticed he/she moved it's tail up and down.

dellrose, I agree. I saw my first one this past weekend, so I've been studying them in my books. The bird I saw was moving it's tail and kept flicking his wings.

Thanks Missy for the confirmation. This one was also flicking it's wings...sure is a secretive bird. Congrats on seeing it for the first time!!

That's a nice shot Missy...it really shows the cuteness of this bird. I am hoping to try and find it again and get a better pic!
