I spotted this bird flying in NW Indiana. Does anyone know what it is? I really would appreciate the help!
What type of Hawk/Falcon is this???
Most likely a Rough-legged Hawk, dark phase. Small chance it could be an exceptionally dark immature Red-tailed Hawk, but the tail pattern doesn't match that very well.
Resin
Oh wow.....lots of those being seen this year!
Were you by the lake when you took this? (Michigan I meant sorry) There are a huge number of hawks flying by the lake daily
