It looks great. I got a smaller one not long back and it's in the garden now. Still settling in but hope it can get to looking as good as yours.

I have M. magnifica as a container planting that survived our horribly cold winter last year. Even though we've had a couple of extremely cold nights the past few weeks, it's doing well out on the deck with a blanket thrown over it.

tropicbreeze, when yours blooms show us pictures okay! I hope mine would bloom again or know what they need to flower. This is my first time buy in this type of plant so i am just doing my best of keeping it alive for now.

Lin, that is good to know that they can withstand some cold weather. I been several times in Daytona beach and also know people that lives there and they' re saying it is cold. My husband go there for Harley bike week too.

Hi GA,
Where exactly is Jonh's Creek? I also have a medinilla, actually 5. Three I have had for about 3 years now and they usually bloom in June-July. I keep mine in the GH or inside as I don't want to take a chance. They are my absolute favorite plant. Just be careful with the watering during the winter. Did you just buy yours when you took that picture? It looks very happy.

Here is mine...

Oh, one of many,LOL. Sorry about the spelling, I was looking at the way you have it. Are there many nice nurseries left up there. Didn't most of the Pike nurseries close down?

Hollywood, FL(Zone 11)

Not around where I live! I didn't bought my magnifica at pikes I got it somewhere else though. I don't do shopping at Pike nursery if i can help it. You can't return what you just bought even if you only have for a day; only exchange or store credit.
