CLOSED: Another Unknown Hawk

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

The first two were taken today...the Hawk flew in and landed on the dead tree in our back yard.

Hmmm... this one put up a challenge for me but after comparing this bird with a Red-tailed Hawk I found some differences.

I,m going with Ferruginous Hawk....but I would wait for more confirmation on that.

A very pale Red-tailed. Not Ferruginous, as that has feathered legs, which pic #3 shows this one doesn't.

I seen the feathered legs in my field guide too...lol (noted) Red-tailed was the only other choice for sure, a victim of variation. Plus I thought the beak was a little diff...I was asking for it with the range too.lol Props
