does anyone know where I can get one of these plants

Jacksonville, FL

Such a beautiful plant....My is about 40 years old..Belonged to my Mama..when she passed I brought it home...after years of moving plant around in the yard, I finally found a spot it likes..it's about 7 feet tall and about 6 feet wide now..I trimmed and clean the plant out yesterday..I do have a bug problem..the plant has white scale in places. The leaves look wringled and turn yellow. What do I use to get rid of bugs and what kind of fertilizer do I use?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The plant is very special to me..Thank you

I live in Michigan, so I can't have one of these. But I was just at a Botanical Garden Saturday, and the one growing there had the same issues yours seem to have. I also saw Mealy Bugs. Do you see little webs and tiny white fuzzy spots?
I get mealys on my Orchids. Yours must be outside? If so, hose it off good with a not to hard spray.
(enough to get the webs and bugs off). Ask at your local nursery what to use, as it depends on if its outdoors or not.

Thank you for your reply. No mealy bugs, but have been spraying Confederate Jasmine it has mealy bugs(took that to nursery) Also took a leaf off the Bird the nursery called it white scale Does not wash off easily..See no webs or small insects. I have soil that holds water with some clay..so I water Mama's Bird very cautiously. The front yard is higher than road so it drains good. Oh, by the way my husband is from Mi. He calls all my ferns weeds!! I am thinking about washing the plant with Garden Safe mixed in water. I truly do not want to loose Mama's Bird she treasured it!!!
