I have a noid brugmansias that is in dappled shade. I want to move it to a sunny place but don't know when I should do this. Can someone help me with this? Thank you very much. Elaine

I would wait until all danger of freezing is over. So in early spring. That way it will a long while to establish a root system capable of making it through next winter.

I find mine do better in dappled shade than in sunnier areas.

I have had these for 5 or 6 years and they never have more than 6 or 7 blooms. Maybe they might produce better if I fertilized then---you think? I may move one of them and leave the other and see what changes need to be made and some fertilizer. Thanks all Elaine

Do they get any direct sunlight at all during growing season? A few hours of direct sunlight in the morning shouldn't harm them. Mine object to the hot afternoon sun. Fertilizer on a regular basis would definitely help.

They would only get about 2 or3 hours of direct sun. They are located in the backyard and it is shaded most of the time. Elaine

Brugs are heave feeders and they will probably not improve much in a sunny are unless you start feeding them on a regular bases.
