Nooooooo! My amorph!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Well, I don't have to worry if my poor Konjac is normal or not anymore. My BF's father chucked him in the trash, thinking that the pot didn't have anything in it besides dirt. BIG FROWNY FACE!!!

Can anyone help me find a replacement? I can't afford one that is big enough to flower, and the one I had was smaller than a lemon, but bigger than a golf ball. I am having trouble finding stuff in the search engines for "amorphophallus konjac"- most of the results are for some diet supplement capsules. I'm checking Ebay too, but all I see are tiny tiny bulbs - and not for the konjac. I really liked the polka-dot petiole and leaves.

Thanks!

I don't have Konjac but do have some A. paeonifolius with spotted bumpy petioles. They are all dormant now, and I'm pretty sure I have something in a size larger than a lemon!

a paeonifolius? I tried to google it and came up with pictures of at least three different kinds! What does yours look like?

Actually, I'll send you a D-mail...

The website blackjungleterrariumsupply has A. konjac available at a very reasonable price. I have purchased a few plants from them in the past and have been happy with the plants I received.

Oooh, THANK YOU Rachel! I sent them an email to see check on the price, just because they used a plural in the description. It says it's for a 1-2" bulb, which is better than a grape or a bean.

That website has some other interesting looking plants too, even carnivorous!
