That is beautiful! Is it staked? The trunk looks really slender for the top to be so big.

I staked it for about 4 years, and took it off this summer. It's pretty sturdy now, and it's on the leeward side of the fence and yew hedge, so it's not going to get pushed around too much!

Do! As with all Cornus species, it's a painfully slow grower, so spring for a larger one. It's worth the splurge!
