wow- Magnificent. And I just saw an episode of Desert Speaks tv show, and the host stood next to what he called his favorite cactus, the Armatocereus.

Does she have visitors? Tours?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hi. She has done tours in the past. She is mainly known for her great palms and all the seed collecting she did all over the world. Sadly now she has been quite ill for a few years so I am not sure she is still receiving visitors. I need to go over again and see her. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/254094/

Kell,is there someplace online- an article with photos of her garden?

I do not know of any though Inge Hoffmann was well known in many plant circles so there could be. Sadly, she died a few months ago after suffering from cancer for a long time. She was just a little lady but just would not give up. Even the last time I saw her, when she was so frail and unsteady, she had big plans for change in her beloved garden. I think her garden kept her alive.

Many of the huge palms she grew in her garden, she had started from seed she had collected in different countries. They are huge now..

Here are photos I have posted in PFs of plants in her garden. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/imagesbyuser.php?user=Kell&offset=0&grep=Inge+Hoffman&submit=Go
