Saw this bird in Leakey, TX first week of Nov. He came around every evening hopping from post to post overlooking the river and was constantly chirping. The range maps I've seen don't include Leakey, TX as an area where Black Phoebes are found (but its pretty close)... so I am wondering if it may just be an Eastern Phoebe. I know the Eastern Phoebes were around because every day I was there they were quite vocal with the classic FEE-BEE....... FEE-BEE-BAY call. Hard to mistake that one!
Black Phoebe?
Yep, definitely Black Phoebe. Good find!
