Has anyone used this product before? If so could you please tell me how well it works?

From what I read about it, I would not like it because it retain mulches beautiful, rich colors. MulchGard’s unique sealing properties prolongs the lifespan of mulches. If it does this, the mulch will last longer because it does not breakdown but if it does not breakdown it does not feed the plant, which is one of the reasons I mulch.

They use that in florida a lot. More or less, it's stuff you spray over the mulch once you have the whole bed arranged like you want, so it stays looking that way. Kinda like those plastic slip covers some people put on their couch. Chemically it's basically the latex part of latex paint (thinned). As best I can tell, it "works" (does what it's supposed to do) fine when it's applied according to directions.

It's only supposed to go over the top. If you really had a nice thick layer of mulch, the bottom (unlatexed) part should still be decomposing, so it's not like you completely encased the nice organic matter in plastic. I wouldn't use it in my yard, but if I for some reason were a property manager where I needed to present that sort of sharply edged, uniformly shapped and colored mulch, I'd have to consider it. Some people with a decorative mulch like it because you can use the leaf blower to remove the fall leaves, and your decorative mulch stays in place.

I wouldn't use it either but for a very manicured landscape with shrubs I can see it working well. If you are a plant person, not so well.
