new baby and hopefully more soon. This is one out of 5 Araucana eggs, going to give her until Monday to see if more hatch. These are from the tufted birds so not sure if I want to check the eggs or not. The tufted gene is leathal and many die in the shell or soon after hatching. This ones doesn't look like it has tufts to me. Have 2 more broodys on a few eggs each and and bator full along with some Heritage Delaware I managed to get my hands on

DonnaB I can hardly wait to see more pictures. This is an awesome breed of chicken, and I particularly like yours. I like all the chickens, but the Araucana seems exceptional.
I do love them so. That's why I don't want to check the eggs in case one is dead inside but I do need to check the fertility. No more hatched yet.. Have more due the 24th & 27th under broodys

Thank you I think lol. You all may be laughing at me if everything in the bator and under the broodys hatch. I will be over run with chicks inside over winter and kicking myself the whole time probably

I do to Donna (thats my name to) but I won`t hear that until late next spring,I have no incubator(which is probably a good thing) Have to wait for my broodys and fertile eggs
3 new baby wut wuts today yeah!! just a quick shot as I was bringing them in from the wet and cold. Better ones soon. Put bator into lock down today with 10 in this batch but have to more batches to go into lock down on the 2nd & 7th. The 7th has my Heritage Dels along with Araucana. I am on pins and needles

just sad none have tufts that I can see but I don't see well anyway. Going to have to check the unhatched eggs from the 3 broodys to see in babies with tufts died in the shell

if not born with them they won't have them.
Yipee just came in with 2 more chicks and I now have hatched 1 with double tufts. I am doing the happy dance ye haw!!!

YIPEEEE!!! You finally got your double tufted! Sooo cute.. I love the lil white pullet that hatched Monday. The new lil tufted is the cutest ever!! They are all just darling.. Congrats Donna!!
Thank you I am so excited. I have more in lock down now. Was hoping for a early hatch so my grandson could see one hatch out while they are here. But alas no such luck and Momma called and is going to come get them to go get a Christmas Tree
