They do not like the snow, the silkies would not come out at all and the big girls only the ones that are a couple years old vengured out and not for long.
I wonder why the chickens are inside???
Love the picture the footprints make it look cool... thanks for sharing.
I don't blame them. I would stay inside too.
I wouldn't be outside either not until the spring thaw lol
Love the pic Green, we also have snow, about four inches and it's 23%. All my waters were frozen this am and so I spent time thawing things out and putting out fresh water which will last til morning then the process begins all over again...LOL...Hay
EEWWUU..I am not fond of that white fluffy stuff..I am with the chickens..rather stay inside...but the pic is pretty..but not my cup of tea..lol...
I'm with you Moodene! I had my fill of that stuff last year when I was on the road.. There is no place like home... Sunny California! LOL With all that's goin bad here, the weather has made me a permanent fixture!
I love snow... in pictures! If I were a chicken.. um fat chance I'd venture out ..
If I was a chicken, I would be wrapped up in something with boots on before I would even step out in the cold..LOLOLOL..can ya see chickens wearing boots???...
The boots would have to coordinate with their diapers...
We had a big freeze here last night. I put some heat lamps in the coops, and put the chickens inside.
Was that right? Or are my chickens all spoiled?
Can chickens freeze to death? Mine do not sleep inside the coop, don't know why. I have tried to put them in there night after night, but gave up.
I am in California, but we had a hard freeze here and even three inches of water in the dog bowls froze.
I keep my silkies warm with a heat lamp it stays about 40 in there, but the big girls are ok
MMM..matching boots with diaper?? This is something for me to go do..LOLOLOL..I gotta do this..heheheheh
