I originally posted this on the Garden Talk forum, but it was suggested that I ask you guys over here.
This was my first year trying Daturas. Someone sent me some 'Ballerina mix' seeds. It took all summer, but I ended up with two plants, 14" to 18" tall. They still haven't flowered. I was planning on bringing them in before the first frost, to winter them over. Well we had a light frost last night. All the leaves are all droopy and hanging down, I brought them in this afternoon, but, is it too late?? Will they recover??
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Datura Advice
Debbie,
Someone will be along that might be able to answer that question better then me. I always start my Datura seeds in March and by the end of Sept.my plants are just wore out so off to the compost they go.
Welcome to the forum.
Debbie,
I grew Ballerina this year also. They are pretty tuff plants. If they have been used to the cooler outside temps then I would put them in a cool place (away from heaters, woodstoves etc.) in your house and not in direct sunlight till they adjust.Give them a light feeding of Miracle Grow (1/2 the amt.of MG)and then just wait. Even if the leaves fall off they should start to grow again after the plants get over the shock of being brought inside. If the stems start to get soft and mushy from being frost bit cut them back to the healthy part of the stem.Hope this helps.
