Have (Roanoke area): 5'x5' Fig tree.

Almere, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

It has a number of lower branches that go straight out horizontally, so is best local, but I would cut them down and/or tie it up and pop it in the mail for the right trade. Is there anyone locally who would want to trade for such a beast? I dug it out of the ground yesterday (a good 4-5 hours! although I am a slow worker). It was in-ground in our zone (6b/7a) and didn't die back at all last year through "Snowmageddon" but another one a hundred feet away did, almost to the ground. It may be special or it may be very special conditions where it was. It is probably "Brown Turkey" variety as that is what is sold locally the most and what it most resembles. It sets fruit but doesn't ripen here. It might against a south-facing wall.
