Anyone have experience with Caesalpinia pulcherrima?

Houston, PA(Zone 6a)

What are the requirements for overwintering? I have 2 seedlings that I don't want to loose.

You will need to keep it indoors, water lightly over the winter and bring it back out into the sunshine in May - it's a tender zone 8-9 shrub.

Thanks Kay, will it go dormant or do I need to keep it warmer and in the sunshine?

It will lose all its leaves and go dormant.

Thank you!

Look closely and you'll see a spider battling off a butterfly on a Caesalpinia pulcherrima --spider would lash out as the butterfly fluttered too close.

What a great shot! Mine is dormant, in the basement. I can't wait to bring it outside this coming spring.
