How much sun/shade does your H. mindorensis like best?

Granite Falls, MN

I read on Carol's website http://www.bigislandgrowers.com/ghp/AHtips.php that Hoya mindorensis is a shade grower. After doing nothing for a few months, today I was thrilled to see tiny new leaves on mine. I really want to encourage this new growth! For those of you with thriving H. mindorensis, tell me what combination of shade/sun they like best. Our climate is very cold in winter, but we have very sunny south facing windows in winter where some other easy-growing hoyas thrive. Is a south-facing window with winter sunshine too much sun for H. mindorensis?

I am eager to hear your thoughts! thanks!
Beth
