What do I do with a 3 week old chick that is drinking too much water? She is pooping almost all clear water. She is eating some food too but she's definitely over doing the water. Her weight is good and doesn't act sick at all.
Yesterday I removed her from the other chicks and gave her a drink every 1/2 hour, by the end of the day her poo firmed up. Is there a reason she is wanting so much water?

Drinking too much water...
I really have no clue but will take a wild and uneducated guess. Since she's drinking so much I'd give her ZZ's recipe of chopped boiled egg yolk and mix it with a little yogurt. At least she will be getting some protein and good flora for her gut. If you cut off the end of a syringe so it has a bigger opening, fill it, then you can give her little gobs of the mixture on her tongue. Hope all is well with her.

I swear by ZZ's egg yolk recipe. My niece has a bad cold and I'm looking at the eggs thinking, well, it couldn't hurt....

You might also want to try some oatmeal, I put a little sugar and milk with it and it works pretty good at drying up a diareaha problem. Not sure why she would be drinking so much water, but sounds like she needs some substance to me...Hay
