Was excited to see this mountain mint from Tropicana starting to bloom over the last few days...I had to bend it over in this pic just to capture it up close...because yep...it's to the roof LOL
November blooms anyone?
And last but not least, my Confederate Rose. I grew 20 of them from seed about 8 years ago .. all of them were the dark double pink except for this one which is a creamy rose color and looks like someone took a paint brush and painted some streaks of color on the petals. I traded away all except for this one .. it's really unusual.
very pretty conf. rose!
Thanks .. I love it. The only bad thing is that it blooms very, very late and we usually end up having a hard freeze only after 2 or three blooms fully open.
That's a bummer!
Ardesia - love that Begonia!!!
Ardesia: Your Bouvardia Ternifolia is beautiful !! I have got to have that plant. I am wondering why I have waited all this time to see the three blooms on my pineapple sage and this was available. I noticed you have it in a pot. Do you bring it inside during our winter months?
This mandevilla has been so pretty.
Thanks, I love that bouvardia and so do the hummers. I am able to leave it out all year here and it blooms pretty steadily. It actually comes from the mountains of Mexico and they prefer good drainage. I keep it in a pot so the soil won't get to soggy - as often happens in the marshy ground here. Also, it gets more air circulation up on the deck.
They are very difficult to root, even Tony Avant had a "crop failure" with them one year.
Beautiful mandevilla, I love the red ones, the color is so intense. Your hummingibrds must be very happy with those flowers.
Anyone else have Clematis blooming??? Usually mine get burned off mid summer and don't do much again until the next spring but I just noticed I have a bunch of new leaves and maybe 8 buds on my clematis???
