Thanks for your nice comment. The camera I used for this picture was a very simple little Kodak Z650, 6.1 mp. I used the SCN mode and the close up icon. It's a nice little camera, but I've since moved on to a Canon XS20-IS, 12.1 MP. I feel the quality of the Kodak is just as good as the Canon. Here is a picture of the same flower in 2010 with the Canon.

I used to have a Canon AE1 with a wide angle lens, a zoom lens and some lens for close ups. I could take a picture of a ant with those close up lens and count the bumbs on its legs. The whole camera bag and all my camera equipment was stolen from my car after the thief broke out a window. Plus they stole a Library book that I had to pay for. I have not had the money to replace my camera, but am trying to save up for a new Canon.
