My new garden helper - ten weeks old.
Introducing Molly
Darling little gal! What kind is she? Looks like the boys and you got your wish!
She is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and we've had her for a week now. So far she is sweet and loving and of course completely insane - in that way that puppies generally are. She and I have had a few words about charging and nibbling my plants - but she has explained that it's really, really hard to resist just a nibble as you go by. So we're working on that.
Molly is so cute. I believe that type of dog does tend to be loving and calm. Exception being the puppy stage. Congratulations.
She's adorable! I bet she's a lot of fun too.
Hi TPN. Nice to meet you. That is beautiful country and a good looking pair of hikers too. What a cute face he has.
Molly sure is a sweetie. may you have many happy times even in the travails of puppy hood!
Welcome TPN. Those are beautiful dogs. I'm curious about the one lying down in front. That dog looks so much like my Doggly (who died about a year and a half ago) that it is downright uncanny.
Whereabouts in SLT are you? I lived there for a year back in the '70s. But I have been there many many times skiing. My favorite place on earth.
Ah, Tahoe is a special place on earth.
The summers at the lake is beautiful.
The winters bring lots of snowflakes.
I'm just out in the county, not far from Echo Ridge.
We hike up the mountain to a very nice little pond and watch the wild life.
I haven't been there is years and years. I miss it. My brother lives in Truckee but I haven't really been there for about 10 years either.
Back to Miss Molly. Does that breed shed a lot? Are you close to being done with potty training?
Hi TPN and Buddy! What a cutie - Molly also seems to love everyone she meets. I think she's convinced everyone was put on earth to adore her, so why not?
Gwen - as for the shedding, I think she'll be a moderate shedder. She's a fairly long haired dog, so there will be shedding, but they don't blow their coats out like some breeds do. I think if I keep her brushed she'll be okay.
We're definitely making progress on the potty training side of things. I think we've got night times figured out pretty well, but she still isn't quite convinced not to try to sneak a piddle every now and then inside during the day. Especially now that its' so yucky and rainy out.
More pictures of Molly please!
such a cutie!
The photo above was taken at Baldwin Beach, South Lake Tahoe this past May. We keep Buddy' s coat long for the winter to help insulate him from the extreme cold temps that we have.here.
mauryhillfarm: "Willow" is our friends dog. She is part coyote part Collie.
Very gentle too.
I have a few more Molly pictures to share, but I'm still trying to figure out this puppy photography thing. Unlike flowers, they don't stay still to have their photos taken! I'm already amassing a nice collection of puppy buts, out of focus noses shoved into the camera, and random brown blurs.
When she's sleeping though, she's fair game!
such a cutie!
Buddy is wagging his little tail at her.
She is sweet. Love the pictures! How did you choose her name?
I have yet to get a good photo of any of our dogs, past and present.
And chickens are even harder! Not only do I mostly have butt pics, but they are blurry butt pics.
Molly is so adorable! Henry would love to play with her.
Oh no, Guess what - Chicken Butt. Now, Blurry Chicken Butt! My boys used to drive me crazy with that saying.
Awww- Molly is a cutie! :D
I fostered a golden lab named Molly for a while many years ago- she was such a love... so I really like your choice of names. ;)
Right on! Poor little Henry is at the vet's office today . No more bouncy balls for him...
Lynn,
What happened to Henry? More info please. He is so adorable.
Did he eat one?
No, He "lost" his today. He had a busy day - neutered, hernia fixed, micro-chipped, and his rabies shot. Plus, he got shaved where he has another bacterial infection on his side, where he chews and scratches himself.
Oh good. That was my first thought - that he was getting snipped - but then I started to worry. He's such a little cutie - I'm sure he'll be feeling better tomorrow.
Silly me, that didn't even cross my mind. Hope he is fine!
Kymm, Molly is just too precious! What a beautiful little face.... and so cute I am sure that it will be hard not to let her get away with murder in her puppy days! Keep the pictures coming!
TPN, your Buddy is a doll too!
Although it is a commercial slogan, I still agree.... "Life is better in the company of dogs!"
