Thank you very much weegy12.... Most of the time most DG users don't seem to take interest in helping people like myself who live in zone 4.
Thanks again....

You're welcome Barry. I would hope that someone would do the same for me.
Glad I could help.
you can refer to this post http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1060167/ where we talked specifically about the conditions inside your home.
oh you lucky people with your plumerias.
i have lived by this rule of thumb for years.
check the soil before you water any time of the year.
i always have a dirty finger as i stick it in the soil for about an inch.if it is dry then yes water.
sorry for horning in but that is what i do.
wish i had one.a plumeria i mean, had one in ca though but not since i moved back here.
so, what's keeping you from getting another plumeria lilspirit?
i'm going to get one as soon as i find one, that i cannot live without and find room in my mobile home.
now you know, room is a factor.lol
on the serious side, yes i'm looking for one.
i'd recommend that you start with one that is grafted given your climate. florida colors nursery sell grafted plumies. they would also be able to suggest one that would work in your limited space that you can bring inside during the winter.
Limited space that rings the bell the plumie Clare did in Calf. where she had grafted 6 or more cuttings to one tree that was the bomb! Especially for limited space
well thank you both for the info.i appreciate it.
retta
you just have to be aware of the growth patterns of the cuttings you decide to use for a tree like that. being grafted does not stunt their growth.
thank u again tucson, went on their site and i will contact them soon, like next week.
i have been going from room to room today and disposing of house plants that
i was not crazy about.my son took most of them and a neighbor took the rest.
now make room for more.lol
