I saw this Bird out of the window. It had the build of a Shrike. Not one of the Mockingbirds around our house. Please help. Thanks. I do not see an eye ring.
CLOSED: CLOSED: I thought it was a Shrike
It looks too small to be a Shrike. I was thinking Blue-gray Gnatcatcher but I don't see the white eye ring so I'm not sure.
Here's the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Blue-Gray_Gnatcatcher/id
edited to say: I just checked my Florida Bird Book and it says that South Florida is an important wintering range for many northern Gnatcatchers, so maybe it's some other type other than the Blue-gray? I'm sure one of the experts will be along soon to give you an exact ID. I've had many birds identified by the great folks here!
There are a few photo's of the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher in Bird Files for comparison: http://davesgarden.com/guides/birdfiles/go/280/

OldNed: Thank you ... I remembered someone identifying a little one like this a month or so ago but for the life of me I couldn't remember the name of it.

My Florida bird book says they do not usually breed in Florida but are common residents from September through March.
Ditto to Eastern Phoebe

I looked at http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Eastern_Phoebe/sounds.
I love that site. But they only had one picture. I Goggled the Phobe, but I saw some pictures with yellowish colorings. This bird was all grey tones as far as I could see. I did not hear the song. But if everyone agree I will add this bird to my list. Thanks everyone.
I agree with Phoebe. I have no doubt that this is the correct ID. :)
Thank you. I was confused because of different coloring in some Phobes.
The description in my bird book describes the Eastern Phoebe as:
Gray-black above (nondescript grayish-brown upperparts), white or yellowish below (light buff underparts), dark wash on breast and a black bill ... and it pumps it's tail consistently.
I'm in agreement that your bird is definitely the Eastern Phoebe.
Add wing-bars and it would have been an Eastern Wood Pewee...(same sized bird). Similar from a distance.
