Any botanical sites there?
Visiting Egypt
I consulted my book and here's what Egypt has to offer: Al Montazah Palace Gardens (46ha.) in Al Iskandariyah (Alexandria?). The palace is the summer residence of Egypt's president; it seems the gardens are open to the public for a fee. There's Al Azhar Park (30ha.) in Cairo--a large formal garden with pools. And lastly there's Karnak (100ha.) in Luxor, where there used to be a garden in ancient times, but the plants are now mostly in the form of inscriptions on the walls. Plenty of palms trees but not much else...do post some pictures if you can!
Thank you so much! Below is a link for my trip, fyi. I will be flying into Cairo, and will also go to Luxor!

That looks good. But, apart from the scheduled visit to the botanical gardens on Kitchener’s Island, can't see you getting too much time to visit other gardens. Are you planning to stay a bit longer after the tour?
Actually Tropicbreeze, we have a 2 or 3 half days to wander off from the tour. My sister and I are still deciding (have until Mid November) if we want to extend the trip.
Metrosideros, thank you ever so much for those resources! I will check out each of them!!
